Liverpool Gerrard is going to try to cobble a team together, but with all our uber-talented players leaving, we'll probably have to play in the Tin division or whatever level is below Bronze. Wink

Seriuosly, LP Gerrard is playing and looking forward to the great competition that this tournament draws.

Is there a team manager out there that can post the accepted team list? I see lots of age groups being posted on the girls forum.

Hoping for a good showing now that the 02's are officially 11v11. Rally all the teams to play, let's start it off with a bang!

Only The 01's Was Boca Juniors 01 & We started on Our Own. So We Made Sporting United 02's, they Played @ the Progressive youth League In Mckinney & Recieved 1st Place. Sporting United 02's is A New Team, they barely have Like 3 mths or So Together.

In Which We Are Also in Need of Players, the 02's will be Playing Sdl & Cal this Season.

Not sure - the latter rounds are really going to depend on how they split these groups up. I'd like to see the teams that get a lot of forum talk time make it through the preliminary stages, reather than a few face early elimination due to a 0-1 loss or tie. This should be a great opportunity to see where everyone stands at the beginning of the season. Good luck to all the boys.

If the Houstonians bring the same team that played in the AYSES tournament a while back than count on them to be in the mix.

As always you have the usual suspects as favorites to win but curious to know about those not from North Texas.

In all fairness to both of you, as you clearly have more tenure on here than most of us, I think Cowpukesfan might have misinterpreted what Futbolista was saying. The word "you" seems to be referring to the idea that "we all" should expect the usual favorites to prevail, not as if "you" in particular picked a group of teams that you personally favor. I don't know either of you, but I think this was the intent behind the comment - correct me if I'm wrong.

As for the Hustonian team, I think they may have had some changes. Got to be solid though, no one wants to drive all the way up here just to go home without reaching the finals.

Hmmmm.... maybe you're right Accidentalelbow. No harm, no foul. Can't wait to see my old friends though. They're bringing up some homemade Chicken Pot Pie and Smoked Salmon. My favorites.

Anyway, this tournament seems like it's going to be a very good one.
BTW, you misspelled "HOUSTONIAN". Just saying....

Probably. Had a chance to see them in action. Unbelievable skills and teamwork.
The sideline gets a little annoying, but they're also pretty harmless.

Looks like this will be the place to be Labor Day Weekend. It will depend on the brackets but I call it as DTS the winner with Solar Dyanamo Chelsea and Liverpool Fagen with a chance for the upset.

Would like to have seen TFC Larry and FC Dallas Premiere play in this one too. They both played very well over the weekend in the primetime with FC Dallas Premiere winning and TFC Larry showing they belong in the top ranks of teams. Expect them to have a good showing in SDL 1 this season.
