Re: Plano Labor Day - 99 boys
No one thought Manchester would beat the Strikers but that happened and now that Manchester had played the Texans and figured out how to play them, they might just pull it out. We will see. I know when they met the 1st time it was 1-1 at the half so it's not out of the question for it to be a closer match than the last time. Hopefully there will be better refs too. When a player takes a swing at another player he should be out of the game but they let the player stay in the game which I thought was crap. But it's the Texans so they can do it and it's okay I guess.lol Ref showed up wearing a wife beater(that should have been the tip off right there

Texans had a crazy game right next to us tonight. I saw at least one red card and several shoving matches between players on each team.

One thing is wishfull thinking and the other is accepting the obvious. DTS vs. Barca in the final. Both teams are clearly ahead of the Titans, DT Red, FCD and Comets. And what were you thinking (Or not) picking DT Red to win it all? Let me guess........
Should be a great final, I'm going with Barca over DTS.

Re: Plano Labor Day - 99 boys
@ Seinfeld, Who had the red card? No one on the Texans sat out the whole game. Today's game was much closer. Manchester lost 2-0 and yeah the Texans were up to their old tricks again. Blatant fouls every where and kicking the goalie after he had the ball to score one. It was much closer than the 2-0 score allowed. Manchester should have had a (no brainer call) pk when their player got super fouled in a break away but the almighty ref didn't call it. The game could have easily been tied 1-1 if the refs actually called fouls. Any which way Manchester played a great tournament and is much stronger than last year.

The red card that I saw was issued to a kid on the other team. However, I did see some of the play you described.
I saw a little bit of the Manchester/North Texas Strikers game. I can confirm Manchester is greatly improved.
Looks like you get a crack at undefeated TFC in week 2. Will have a ringside seat for that battle!

Barca dominated the first half of the game and had a couple that should have gone in. One actually went in by 2 feet and the line called it a no-goal which is too bad cause that poor call affected the outcome of the game imo (I was standing right next to it and it was a clear goal). In the second half DTS had the wind at their back and scored the first one in their typical long ball fashion and Barca's sails deflated. DTS started playing quite well after that and put in a couple very nice goals to finish it.

Very quiet. You could hear a pin drop now that his pick didn't win, didn't make the semis, oops didn't even make it out of their bracket.

I will go away. I also thought SMU might give A&M a game last night also. The only hope is maybe the other D1 teams did some experimenting this weekend. Long year

Re: Plano Labor Day - 99 boys
I wasn't there but I heard it was not a great effort put out by Manchester. Apparently they (the team) didn't show up mentally and were sluggish to the ball, so of course with that limited effort they lost 3-0. It happens. Looking forward to seeing them go against TFC next week. The team needs to be more consistant. They have the talent and can do good things this year. They just need to bring the A game every week.

Sorry to hear that. I thought the boys looked good in the Plano Labor Day. I think every team will a let down game this season. That is what you get from 12 year old boys.
I know several people looking forward to your game this weekend.
