You are missing my point, a team that wins the state championship has obviously got the skins and is more deserving then a silver bracket D3 classic(should be in D2 and can play with any D2 team) team

I just figured if our rankings were that misleading, they might be that way in other states or regions, as well. Hurst was just the example I used.

Yes, Texas Summer Classic, which netted them only 313 points, which is paltry to be sure, but that's because that tournament doesn't historically have, on the balance of it, the highest quality teams and doesn't draw out-of-town talent. However, it was enough to get them a first place ranking because relatively few U12 teams have competed thus far, even within the whole country. As the year progresses their ranking in region and state will drop if they do not continue to advance in the right tournaments. Plano Labor Day is worth a buttload, especially to those advancing to the final round in every age group and division.

I didnt get to see the Arkansas team play, thats why I was simply asking the people who did get to see them, their opinion? I know they beat some of our top D1 teams, would DT Gall or who ever their coach is this year, be able to out duel them, or TFC Wells(even know they lost to an 01 team in Austin), or FCD Premier? By the way how did FCD East look, hwaerd they had added some really good talent this summer?

I saw them play the Wiz in semifinal. Spoke to their coach, who said they rostered some. 01's to complete roster for11v 11, as they play 8 a side. Tough, physical game. Comets had a big midfielder. Solid midfield, good defender and goalie. Beat some good teams and do deserve all the credit. Would they beat Gall? No. TFC ? Inever thought they would beat one D1 team, let alone 3, so who knows? Possibly. Very nice parents. I hope they come back. Adds a little spice to the same old.

Also watched FCD east v Texans. Heard alot about new players for FCD. Not much offensive threat, which is all I thought they were missing. Maybe some players were out of town? Still good possession style team, will always be hard tobeat because of that. Have always liked that team anD coach.

I wouldn't count them out in any 00 tournament. This year or next, or the year after - they are in the Fayetteville/ Bentonville/ Springdale area (Walmart's home-office area) with all those factories of all the companies there, and with the labor in the area (hispanic kids who love soccer), and with all the suburban yuppies (young up and comers who have money and want their kids to succeed) - pretty good combination for successful soccer clubs - and I think their club is the big one in the area.

Good call R1! Heard Ark Comets had a player that was head and shoulders above everyone else....

Comets played great possession style soccer, they had the ball on the ground and moved it around nicely. They had speed and skill. DT West had a couple of chances, but couldn't capitalize. Having watched multiple games over the weekend, I think the best team won!!
