So whats the update on this? I'm sure the Dallas Texans "soccer" program is unlike any other around the DFW area for the moment.

The question is how are the kids coping with school. Is Quest middle school a charter school? How much homework do the kids get, and are they learning in the school? Getting 2+ hours of school homework would put allot of stress on a player.

How can they call it a 'residency' program? They aren't providing room and board.

Same with FC dallas for that matter. When they start bringing in players from outside DFW to live and train together, then they can call it a residency program.

That is exactly what HN wants and plans to do. He wants to build a dorm and have boys from all over, including the Texans from Ghana come to be in residency. He just needed the local boys with cash in their pockets and parents with dreams in their eyes to front the money for a few years to get it started.

oh well then it's exactly like IMG. Bring in great players who don't pay and use them as advertisment to the parents with money and dreams. Bring your kid to IMG and he will be just like this great kid (who was great before he ever got there)

Yeah but with the Texans there is a big bonus as HN is looking to hire Jerry Sandusky to run the dorms.

Sadly this is true at certain extent, but the if the kid practices not only the 2 times a week with his team, but 3 other days with a perent or coach, the game on Saturdays , and take Sunday off for the rest day. Do this all year around with some off days for holidays for the extra rest time, I think the parent and the player have a chance to dream, don't yawl think so?

Anyways can someone attending this program tell the forum if these players get 2+ hours of homework from the school they attend.
