    SR v Elite

I saw Elite winning this game, but not the way they did. I was looking forward to a more challenging game. Elite outplayed SR on all sides of the pitch and could easily been 5-0 at the half. Elite is the team to beat they will have another good match next week

IE has what no other D1 team has, a consistent offense. They score goals, weather it is the one goal they need or many goals because they can, I have not seen another team in D1 that can do that plus shutdown the opposing team.

D1 is nothing like it was last year, period. Pre Academy has raped all D1 teams of its best players and moved on, except for Irving Elite. They should have been the favorite coming into the season. SR had to find 9 new players to fill in a roster and lost their whole scoring input from last year to pre academy. There is no way on earth they should have been the favorites going in unless you were basing that off of last year, which many did because they had no idea who stayed and who left. No teams I have seen thus far this year are as strong as they were last year except Irving Elite because their team stayed in tact due to no pre academy. Good or bad that's just the way it is and I expect IE to win the league hands down and possibly premier league too for that matter.

Irving already lost to the team from Tulsa in Premier League.

SR only had to replace 6 players and only 4 had an impact. I do beleive most thought IE would be the favorite. They picked up 4-5 quality players as most teams are brand new in D1, except for the 4 PL teams. No surprise IE is on top of the standings. The surprise is SR falling to the bottom and next week it will just get worse with DTRFW, a skilled fast team.

IE did lose to a not very good Tulsa, unfortunately IE was missing a couple of key defenders that day which could have made a difference.

I do believe SR is struggling a little, but I know this team has the talent to be on top and will turn this bus around. Great coach, great back line and nice speed on top, they will get another chance this year to face IE and Im sure it will be a more interesting game. I predict all wins for SR from this point on.

As for IE I really wanted to get out and watch this game but the wife had me doing the honey do list. I just could not believe the score on this game I first thought it was a typo, I've seen this team play and I have no doubt this team can win it all if they stay healthy and intact. They are big, fast and play together very well...

Yep... Like I said a month ago, IE and DTR (formerly west) are the ONLY D1 teams to actually improve their roster from last year... the numbers say, better get used to it..watched them play 2 playoff games @PLD - strong, fast, skilled, they'd be handful for last year's D1 teams, let alone this year's versions...

As True10 said, DTRFW (formerly D3=>D2) has improved as well, and will give SR all they want in the upcoming weeks.. To say that SR will win out is ? confused Shocked

We'll know a lot more soon enough. Saturday brings:

    Texans Red vs. Elite
    SR vs. DTFW

    Both should be good ones!
