COPPELL vs. FCD CENTRAL (2-0), Central didn’t score in first two matches
WIZARDS vs. SOLAR RED (4-0). Wizards having a tough time finding the net.
DT RED vs. FCD (BAZAN) (1-5), Bazan is in an offensive groove.
FCD BLUE vs. DT (GALL) (0-4), Gall is still showing prowess on offense and defense, zero goals allowed.
FWFC vs. DT SOUTH (2-1), If FWFCs fast striker gets loose, they’ll win.
FCD SOUTH RED vs. TITANS (1-3)
ANORANZAS vs. SOLAR (PARTAIN) (0-3) Añoranzas still hasn’t found the net, Solar is consistently scoring.
MAN U vs. FCD PREMIER (2-3), last two matches decided by double-OT or PKs. Big rivalry, here.
LP KEEGAN vs. SPORTING (3-3) promises to be a shoot-out.
ANDROMEDA vs. LP CALLAGHAN (1-1) Andromeda isn’t scoring much, but Callaghan hasn’t scored yet.

FCD Premier has a batch of ex-Man U stars. Several of the kids & parents on the squads are friends. The two teams haven’t met in a league match, only in tournaments. Last fall, Man U knocked out FCD Premier in a quarterfinal match via PKs. This spring, FCD Premier won a tense and chippy quarterfinal in double-OT. Man U kicks it up several notches when playing Premier.

Any other rivalries, out there? The kind of rivalry that raises the level of passion and play.

COPPELL vs FCD CENTRAL COPPELL wins 2 - 0

WIZARDS vs SOLAR RED Solar Red 8 - 0

DT RED vs FCD (BAZAN) FCD Bazan 3 - 0

FCD BLUE vs DT (GALL) DT gall 3 - 0

FWFC vs DT SOUTH I will give this game to FWFC. 2 - 0

FCD SOUTH RED vs TITANS Titans wins 5 - 0 maybe 7 - 0 and lots of fights in this game. The coaches do not like each other.

ANORANZAS vs SOLAR (PARTAIN) Solar wins 3 - 2

MAN U vs FCD PREMIER No Idea ....

LP KEEGAN vs SPORTING Good Defenses. Going with 0 - 0

ANDROMEDA vs LP CALLAGHAN Andromeda will win 2 - 0, very underated and have a good defense. Nobody has scored on Andromeda in Classic.

COPPELL vs FCD CENTRAL: 2-1. Coppell has been underrated, at least by me -- well, no more!
WIZARDS vs SOLAR RED: 1-3. Solar has not been themselves lately, IMHO. I think they get back on track this weekend.
DT RED vs FCD (BAZAN): 1-5. DTR plays hard, just doesn't have the horses. Brutal schedule, too -- DTGall, FCD Premier, then FCD Bazan!
FCD BLUE vs DT (GALL): 0-3. DTGall continues its shutout streak.
FWFC vs DT SOUTH: 2-3. DTS seems up and down so far -- wins this one by a nose.
FCD SOUTH RED vs TITANS: 0-3. Titan strong! They build on last week's tie vs Solar Red.
ANORANZAS vs SOLAR (PARTAIN): 0-4. Partain's team seems to be coming together nicely.
MAN U vs FCD PREMIER: 1-4. ManU plays them tough, but FCDP is on a roll lately.
LP KEEGAN vs SPORTING: 1-3. LP hasn't impressed me yet (not that this is on their to-do list!)
ANDROMEDA vs LP CALLAGHAN: 1-0. Andro matches DTGall's shutout streak, and they need to for the win.

PG-Boy - I respect your picks, but gotta say that Central scored one on the vaunted SR defense in week one. This is a rematch from QT where Coppell took it 2-1 in a hard fought game. Don't be too harsh on FCD Central ... starting the season against arguably two of the best U11 teams in the country is not necessarily a good measuring stick.

Yes, I stand corrected! My apologies. Central has scored, on an excellent defense. How could I forget. My bad. Agreed, you've had a very tough opening schedule.

If I may be so bold, what was the score at half time of the Solar Red game , and what was the score when Central Waters scored their goal. Based on what you wrote the game against Coppell should be very competitive.

For those of us in the dark on this can you tell us again what teams you are talking about and why
you think they are 'arguably the best U11 teams in the country'?

DT Red gets my vote for the toughest early set of matches. Wow, who created this schedule anyway. Three brutal games.

FCD Central is runner-up with the next crazy scheduled start.

I'm sure the scheduling gurus will make it up for them at the bookend of the season.

Deductive reasoning my friend... NTX is consistently one of the strongest soccer regions in the country. Both Solar Red and DT Gall are at the top of the region (there are probably a couple others in their class, but not many). Therefore, SR and DT Gall are couple of the best in the country. If that is too broad of a statement, my apologies. But you have to admit, both are really fun to watch and very tough opponents to start a season.

Slampg -- What was the score of the SR vs Waters game at half time, and what was the score when Waters scored ?
That will give me an idea of how good the team is or not ?

I am not anti FC Waters, the team is solid with about 2 1/2 play makers, I am just curious. The Titans only beat Waters 2 - 1 (Arlington Labor Day Tournament) so that makes Waters a good team in my opinion.

SR had constant pressure the whole game. At halftime it was 1-1 with Central's defense holding strong. In the second half the floodgates opened up and SR pours in another 5.

At Arlington, it was a 1-1 tie through most of the game with the Titans getting a goal off of a defensive lapse with about 2 minutes to go... very competitive, back and forth game that was definitely fun to watch.

I am obviously biased, but Central is not as bad as their record would lead one to believe. I would put DT Red in that same bucket but that's what happens when you qualify in the second weekend. Shocked

Wow, 1 - 1 at half time, Coppell FC is in trouble, just common sense would dictate that, Waters have played Solar Red, DT Gall and titans, definitely tested with higher ranked teams.

I feel your pain, we were 1-1 at half time at the labor day tournament and then they put three in the second half. Constant pressure, fun team to watch, not fun to play, lol

As predicted it was a great match with goal tending being the difference for CFC in the 1-0 win.

I MIGHT be interested in tracking.

There was a guy/gal that tracked the '00 or '99 predictions. But I don't remember his name. I'd like to consider the process he used. But I can't remember his name. Anybody know?

There was a guy/gal that tracked the '00 or '99 predictions. But I don't remember his name. I'd like to consider the process he used. But I can't remember his name. Anybody know?

Nobody has scored on Andromeda in Classic.

no fights...just some competitive soccer 2-1 Titans...another sign that all the D1 teams are there for a reason.
