I heard a rumor that pysa was going to cancel the remaining ppl 1 season as TFC is just to dominant. However, after it was pointed out that they were beaten by a touchdown and extra point in classic qualifying this past may and then went to overtime with an APL 2 team a couple of weeks ago, those in charge decided to continue with the season.
That said, my prediction for tonight is 3-2 TFC. Passing game will eventually wear down Legacy.

That is funny stuff, I must admit. TFC is good, but anything can happen at anytime, which is why they play the games. Great example is the Classic Qualifying tourney (although i think it was a 2 field goal game). The APL2 team brought in 3 guest players who were pretty dang good, which is why the got to the semis too. Let's hope the rain holds off tonight and we can see how good both teams are!

I was at the game this evening. I don't know that I would say it was an easy win. I guess it depends on your definition of easy.

TFC was under a lot of pressure for the majority of the first half. Their backline weathered the storm well. Legacy had good possession but did not create many scoring chances. TFC had a nice build up and good hustle to create and finish a good goal just before halftime.

In the second half TFC came out and played great possession for the first 15-20 minutes. Looked like they really got their legs under them and gained some confidence. They created some nice scoring chances. Scored another goal to finish off Legacy.

Both teams played hard and it appeared to be a pretty clean game. TFC definately created more scoring opportunities. I just would not describe the win as easy.

Yeah, TFC did not play a great first half. Solid D helped. Second half was much better with a couple of fast breaks by Legacy broken up nicely. Legacy has good skills, size and speed. TFC was much better in the 2nd half with controlled passes and posession.

Nothing is guarenteed, but TFC looking better than last year!

Last year TFC was a gritty team that just found ways to win. This years version plays much better soccer. They move the ball well, have better composure on the ball and are organized on defense.

Another challenging game on Saturday! Good luck against Dallas United.

Dallas United was beating Taipehuala 3-0 last night.

Seinfeld, I do agree that the majority of you posts are fairly neutral but your original prediction was a tie between TFC and Legacy. So all I was trying to get across was you were wrong obviously. Apparently, you have seen both teams play, correct? Therefore, please stop doubting the TFC 99 boys. thank you!

Like I said before my predictions are worth what you pay for them, nothing.

I agree that TFC is a nice team with potential. From what I have seen there are several nice teams in PPL. I believe on any given day any of those teams could beat the other.

I believe it is really hard to keep 12 year old boys focused for an entire 18 game season. Even the best teams have a slip up now and then. Maybe they win them all, maybe the don't. I honestly don't care. I don't have any ill will or an axe to grind with TFC. I hope that group of boys play the best they can and be proud of whatever results they achieve. In the big scheme of things this is 12 year old soccer.

Just keep reporting your scores each week. Relax, sit back and enjoy the ride.

There are no guest players in the Qualifying Tournament, it is you roster on April 1, that get to play and it is almost impossible to add to your roster in the month of March. TFC just had an off day, but were beat by the team on the roster and not three guest players.

It is but you are paying a coach not a magician. He can't control puberty, hormones, the kids that have an off game, kids with growing pains, kid that had a bad week at school, kid who mom and dad aren't getting along.....could be anything. Not to mention the injury bug would rear its ugly head. I know there were several teams last year that lost multiple players for weeks. Wouldn't wish any of these things on anyone. These are just a few of the things that could impact the focus of a team for just one game. You don't have to agree or disagree. Just sharing what I have experienced with my kids teams.

Maybe your group will be lucky enough not to have any of these issues. My bb has never been on a team that has been that lucky.

There are alot of variables when is comes to success but this is why you have 16 to 18 players on a roster. Injuries, parents divorcing, bad week at school, puberty, etc are just normal variables of U-13 soccer. TFC 99 boys have a well balanced team. If starters get hurt, then others have to raise there game to make up for that. If your team's success is based on one or two players then you never had a chance in the first place. I stress the word 'TEAM' here because isn't that what futbol (soccer) is all about? Isn't that why the game is so beautiful? One player can't do it by himself.

THERE'S A LITTLE FOOD FOR THOUGHT. Now you do the dishes please.

Don't disagree. However, at this age 1 or 2 impact players could (usually do) completely change a team. If you were missing a couple of the stronger players on your team I think your team would look very different.

In the game last night Legacy had a foward that was creating havoc in the first half. Your boys took him out of the game in the second half and their team looked completely lost. That was one of the reasons the game changed so much in the second half.

Correct - It was referencing the Arlington Shotout. Spoke to the dads, they mentioned the 3 guest players and pointed them out. And it was a crazy game won in OT by TFC.
