155 people looking but not a single person with a question or interest???

What do I need to do? Offer free cookies? lol

Ok then, the breakdown goes like this...

2 free cookies for central defensive and midfield players.

6 free cookies for any player that can effectively play the wings

and... of course a lifetime supply of cookies for a 6ft 10 year old Keeper.

LMAO. cookie supply is limited so dont wait, this offer wont last. *smiles*

I wouldn't read too much into it. You might have a ton of people interested but they are currently under contract.

Also Mansfield is far away for a lot of people.

Good luck!! I hope you find some boys who are a good fit for your team.

Seriously, you need to define what TYPE of cookies.

Chocolate Chip may be to rich

Peanut Butter eliminates the kids with peanut allergies

Sugar Cookies, well....too much sugar for the A.D.H.D.

And are these store bought or home made? If home made have you considered the health code violations? what kind of packaging?

Man, you should just pat them on the back....wait, did you just hit that child?

Not sure how coaches do it! Good luck to you!

Ohh I am sorry. I thought you had heard... All good coaches possess great powers of hypnosis.

In most cases it is very short term, and usually wears off within 14 days of contract signing.

    However, common recurring side effects may include but are not limited to;

    Upset stomach
    Dry mouth
    Watery eyes
    Dry scaly patches of skin

    Still, in more extreme cases;

Uncontrollable flatulence and erections that last longer than 4 hours are not uncommon.

If you find yourself experiencing any of the above symptoms clap twice while holding your left and right earlobes.

As a coach this is just wrong COACH MASON, you should not be writing the stuff you just wrote, I realize that Madcap may have got your riled up but you are a COACH and represent MANSFIELD SAMBA, you have a good Classic D2 team.

Geez man, its not about ego, its about coaching 10 year old kids and older. I have stated before that I like Mansfield Samba and I think you are in a good spot over there with all the kids in that area.

No I did not take what you wrote in humor and I am sarcastic as they come.

I know you do not care how I feel or what I say, but you give me no reason to ever defend you and your style of coaching, because of you , the man in the mirror.

For the first time in my life I will say the following words,
I wish Mansfield Samba board reads what you just wrote and reprimands you for it.

    Rocket, stop stirring the pot.

Get a sense of humor. Or did you somehow think that perhaps I was speaking the truth and us Coaches do REALLY have powers of Hypnosis. OOooo scary... but even more hilarious.

This forum is not just for parents and if it is .... I have children playing in the competitive ranks as well. So, I have as much right as you to enjoy myself here.

Madcat was just poking fun and I thought it was funny.

What exactly was it that rubbed you so wrongly with my response? Was it the symtoms that are listed daily on the television all from different medications sold and advertised openly today?

Again, you lack a sense of humor.

Futhermore, how is any of this playful banter about ego? Come on, unlimited supply of cookies for a 6ft 10 year old keeper, that is funny.

Still, if you really knew or had watched my team you would know I already have a good keeper. Lighten up and have some fun. How can your bb learn to love a sport that your so completely overwhelmed with? Ease up a little, and I am sure you will see your child loving the sport more than you ever thought possible.

Coach I know your team and both your keepers.
Coach I know your midfield players and your forwards.
Coach I know two of your defensive players.
Coach I watch your practices occasionally.
Coach I watch your games when I can.

I will leave this alone, I have given my opinion.

    To Mason

You have a good team, you have fast forwards and a good defense. I just do not think you know how to coach kids, but I wish you well because I like your team a lot.

Having said all that, I am no fan of Select Soccer."

"We will find out, FYI, Samba is a good team, with really good soccer players. This is truly where the 10 yr old's are good, technically skilled but the COACH HAS NOT INJECTED CONFIDENCE TO HIS PLAYERS.

I hope Mr Mason reads this, and does his kid's right. Wonderful team with wonderful parents, so Coach, can you coach and make everyone proud. Please.

That team will probably win Arlington Premier League and all the accolades that goes with that..

Arlington/Burleson/Mansfield are truly a hot bed for soccer players"

Along with the above excerpts your statements here have made it more than perfectly clear that you are not a fan of mine.

My personal opinion is that your probably a former parent who's bb played with my team in some form or fashion, and found that MSFC was not going to be a home for you and bb for whatever reason. You will have no argument from me every person is entitled to their own opinion. Yours towards me just happens to be poor, and it makes it easy to see that this is very personal for you.

Still, even though I find it sad that you must hide behind your computer screen and rant from afar to someone that you find so openly offensive, this forum is for adults in the NTX soccer community. It is a place we can all come and laugh, joke, and in some cases cry about what is going on in our little fish pond.

However, beyond the playful attitude I do have a VERY SERIOUS responsibility to the children that I coach not only to do the best of my abilities to teach them the sport and instill in them a passion for the game, but also to ensure that they are protected at all times from threats of any kind.

You Dear Sir, have not allowed yourself to be seen at any practices or games that I or my parents are aware. Hence, your statements present a real and potentially dangerous threat. Please understand that I will exhaust every possible resource to ensure that my children are protected!

Now, if the purpose of your stalker-like behavior is to keep tabs on me... Please come out of the shadows, you will not be harmed. Just give me a wave and smile and I will understand you are just there to attempt to find more fuel for your disdain. I cannot help you with that, but it doesn't threaten me.

It is my experience that those who hide in the shadows do so because they have something to hide. Please understand the sincerity in my words when I tell you. Any attempt to watch my child from cover will be considered a threat to their well being and handled as such.

If you do want to actually come watch practices; come, set with the parents. My practices are open.

The stuff that you just wrote in this last post.

Wish you would put the passion you write with and the bullying tactics that you use in writing, and translate that to the game of soccer. Your kids would be right there with Solar Red in passing, Anoranzas in physcial ness , Liverpool Pedroso in speed, Solar Partain in Goalkeeping and FWFC white in having one of the best players in Classic U 11.

Yet you underachieve, because you have the ultimate EGO.

I stand by everything I write Coach Mason right or wrong.

It is low when you accuse me of being a threat and then denigrate me, and malign.

Last time I checked it is a free country. I have not broken any laws. I have stated my opinion as this forum is created for that.

Oh like I always say "No fan of Select Soccer" have to grow and empower the kids, give them confidence and self esteem.

    Have a good one.

Indy.. your welcome to come see that game. It should be a good one. You would only be stalking if your stalking.

As for the Font.. is it really the font, or the color, or even the size? I didnt realize it was offensive.

Hey BTMason, just wondering if you still have the same opinion of TFC Angell after this weekend as you did after the first weekend of QT???

Glad to see a team take care of business on the field as it should be instead of running their mouths on a forum about other teams.

Wish I had been there to see it.... Nice job TFC!

Dont be angry because my second weekend seedings followed the points breakdown like every other tournament in the state.

They outplayed us and deserved the win, but no more than Chivas did the week before. I have said from the beginning my team is exactly where they need to be. Should have came and watched the game. Beyond the first 10 minutes was a very good game. Same problem the last two weeks..

Last week 3-0 13 minutes in.

This Week 3-0 in about the same time.

Both games the teams didnt settle in until after halftime... Just very flat. Hey, they are 10 it is going to happen. We look forward to seeing them again. Still alot of season to go.

So you answer you directly, Yes I absolutely still think that TFC got the seed they deserved for the second weekend of QT and based upon the points they earned in the first weekend didnt deserve anything higher than 14. It was never personal for me... it was simple numbers. How about you?

Does that not reflect on YOU THE COACH, that for 3 weeks you have not been able to get your team ready for the GAME after recognizing that they would come out flat ? (This is a question, please do not turn it into an accusation or use words to belittle or bully)

Looking at your schedule it seems you may have only one winnable game if the current trend of taking time to settle continues.
Next week against Figuera is your winnable game, however they seem to play defense.

Now comes the accusation, it is my opinion that a better coach would play better tactics and by now the kids would have been more skilled as well as conditioned.

A better coach would have MFSC in number two position behind Pedroso at this point in time (Oct 16 2011).

You are doing your kids a Disservice.

This part you will find it hard to agree or believe. I wish you well Mr Mason, I always have, but it is my mantra "Improve the Kids" which is why I look at you with disappointment.

You have some of the best talent I have seen in Classic League (I and II). The fastest strikers for sure. A good defense if they focus, actually that kid is awesome and you know it, you can play him anywhere on the field. You have never developed their skill set, you have not put it together.

You are in the best spot in the metroplex for the best talent in DFW, yet you fail both MSFC and your kids.

Failing MSFC that I really do not care about, its a business.
Failing your kids, to me that is sad.

Your team is a top 10 team in Classic division I, and not where you say it is, a team mid table in Division II.

I hold out hope that you will get the kids to play to their level and get into Classic League Division I in the long run.

I guess that would be a question for my parents. I am less concerned with wins that you obviously. My children are playing to learn the game and erase as many weaknesses as possible.

1 winnable game uh? Well, I guess that is why we play them and not just talk about them.

However, the kid that you speak of has never played for anyone other than me. Soo, if I didnt develop him, who did?

My second halves even in these past two weeks losses have been extremely strong. So, the boys will get there.

The win's are important for the kids, they are kids. You 00' team in APL enjoyed their winning ways did they not.

Your kids know how to play the game of soccer.

Yes 1 winnable game for the rest of this fall season, if the kids are not going to be game ready at the start of the game.

Well maybe the team will have a terrific second half of games and come from behind win's that build confidence and the realization to play hard until the final whistle.

Its not the final whistle they have had issues with the last two weeks. It is the opening one, but I am sure we will get it sorted. Thanks.

Angry?? C'mon you can't be serious?

You still don't get what my point was. My point was that whether your opinion was based on statistics or not, as a coach, you should not be publically saying that another team you compete against "doesn't deserve" something, especially when you and your team don't have any skins on the wall.

To answer your question directly, YES, I do believe they should have had a higher seeding for round 2. They did a heck of a lot more during the previous year than many of the other teams that got a favorable seeding for round 2. Their performance in U10 should have counted for something, but it is what it is with CL.

There are people here that come here more for the confrontation than anything else. Coach parent or otherwise, everyone should have a reasonably firm grasp on how tournament seeds are set after group play, and to my knowledge every one is done from points accumulated from group play.

So, if Indy really feels like he has a complaint he should go to a CL board meeting and offer his services to make their QT what he feels is a more fair situation.

However, I think it is just I am the "dreaded" coach, and I have commited the cardinal sin of "speaking on the forum". Again, people trying to find drama were there is none.

I don't have a beef with any team and I hope they all do well, mine, yours, and everyone's!
