    D1

    DT West 0-1 TFC
    FCD East 2-0 DT White
    DT Red 1-1 Wizards
    Premier 1-2 DT Maric
    Solar 2-1 Tiges

    D2

    LP 0-3 Andro White
    Odyssey 3-0 Andro Gold
    Strikers 0-4 Chivas
Tejanos 1-2 FCD Suarez (PLD semi-final rematch, FCD will be ready after getting creamed last time)
    Solar 0-4 Toros

Odyssey, Andro White and Chivas will battle for promotion, clearly better than the rest.

    D3

    DT Red 1-3 Hurst
TFC Blue 2-1 TFC White (this team is good up front, and they are due)
    Liverpool 1-0 Storm
    Longview 2-1 FWFC
    Aztecs 3-0 Comets

I am finding D-3 is very competitive top to bottom, no team has shown separation

    D1
DT West 0-2 TFC... TFC continues with their up and down season. This will be an up week for them.
FCD East 2-0 DT White... Just enough offense to go with that stingy D for FCD East to get their first win.
DT Red 1-2 Wizards... DT Craft D has holes. Wizards will finally find the back of the net again and win this one.
Premier 1-3 DT Maric... Premier has enough firepower now to hang with Maric. If coach decides to play offensive vs defensive they may have a shot to keep up. Just don't see the coach doing it.
Solar 2-0 Tigres... Solar continues to improve under new coach's approach.

    D2
Liverpool 0-3 Andro White... LP comes back down to earth after a what's probably their first 2 game winning streak since U9.
Odyssey 2-0 Andro Gold... Odyssey is one of the 2 best teams in D2. Chivas only team that could beat them this year.
Strikers 0-4 Chivas... Chivas is the other of the 2 best teams in D2. Can't wait for their game vs. Odyssey the following week.
Tejanos 0-2 FCD Suarez... Suarez D much better than Tejanos.
Solar 0-4 Toros... Solar would have a tough time winning in Plano.

    D3
    DT Red 1-3 Hurst
    TFC Blue 1-3 TFC White
    Liverpool 3-1 Storm
    Longview 2-2 FWFC
    Aztecs 3-1 Comets

Definitely agree. I think D3 is going to be a dogfight all year long.

    DT West 1-3 TFC
FCD East 3-2 DT White (possible relegation candidates)
    DT Red 2-3 Wizards
    Premier 2-4 DT Maric
    Solar 2-2 Tigres

    Liverpool 2-2 Andro White
    Odyssey 3-1 Andro Gold
    Strikers 1-4 Chivas
    Tejanos 2-3 FCD Suarez
Solar Blue 0-5 Toros (possible relegation candidates)

    DT Red 2-3 Hurst
    TFC Blue 0-5 TFC White
    Liverpool 3-1 Storm
    Longview 1-2 FWFC
    Aztecas 2-1 Comets

Although still too early in season we are begining to see patterns. Be curious to see what injuries or players leaving after a few game or mid-season will do to teams. Still a lot of soccer to be played.

    Liverpool 1-3 Andro White
    Odyssey 3-1 Andro Gold
    Strikers 0-3 Chivas
    Tejanos 2-2 FCD Suarez
    Solar Blue 0-2 Toros

There is still a lot of soccer left to be played, but I agree with you.

In D1, DT White has to be the favorite for the #10 spot. Tigres, FCD East, DT Craft & Wizards will be in a dogfight to stay out of the #9 spot. DT Maric has the #1 spot and TFC Wells & FCD Premier will fight for #2 (not that it matters much).

In D2, Solar Blue is definitely the favorite for the #10 spot. The #9 spot is up in the air, but Toros are looking like they will end up there (What happened to Toros? This was a good team last year that almost held on to the last D1 spot!). Chivas and Odyssey look like they are locks to fight it out for the #1 & #2 spots.

In D3, looks like TFC White, Hurst & Aztecas will battle it out for the #1 & 2 spots. TFC Blue looks like may end up with the #10 spot. Comets, AC Longiew, FWFC & Kernow Storm will be in a battle to stay out of the #9 spot.

Anyone else out there care to predict?

D1 you are correct. D2 I agree as well. D3 I also agree with one exception--TFC Blue will not finish last. I am familiar with many of the D3 teams, and we just played TFC Blue this past weekend. Frankly, they are as good as anyone we have played, and may have the fastest forwards we have seen. Yes, they have had a rough start. I do not have a kid on the team, but I expect them to finish middle of the pack, maybe top 5. They just have to find a way to stop the early goals, and win a few. it's still early enough for them to turn around.

There is a lot of parity in D3, not so much in D2, a little in D1, IMO.

I feel there are as many as 5 teams in D3 who will fight for promotion. Time will tell. No one in D3 has shown to be dominant.

Not trying to make excuses for TFC Blue, but heard they have had 2 or 3 key role players out since season started with injuries and will be another week or 2 before they are 100%,but agree heard form a friend whos bb plays for them that they have given up a goal or two in the first couple of minutes in every game

d1 and d2 should basically play to form here on out barring injuries. all quality teams that are nevertheless what they are as assembled. one should easily finish "in the money" picking the favorite for each game.

d3 is almost random. the only element of parity among these teams is that each has a handful of players that are easily d2 caliber, maybe even one or two each that could play d1. these players seem to even things out each week. it's the rest of the roster that makes or breaks em week in and out and you can never tell if they'll play like rec or d1. which is why i don't pretend to know how to bet these lads. Laughing

that said give me Hurst, LP and Azteca in any order as the top three.

My D3 - predictions on where the teams might finish by November and break downs on what I have seen in the teams so far.

1.) HURST UNITED FC 00B (DANE) - Very strong physical team that have the fire in their eyes to win every game. They also control possession of the ball very well. Had a tough loss against LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA 00B LIDDELL (MARSHALL); that might be the only game they will give up this year in D3.

2.) DALLAS TEXANS SC 00B RED WEST (PAURI) - Very tough team as well. Has a long roster which gives players the urge to bring their A game or be bench. Their Defence looks very intimidating but can be broken. Their front line has the firepower to be creative and score goals. with two ties and two wins I expect them to finish second or third.

2.) TFC 00 BOYS WHITE - I have not seen them played so given by their record and the score of the Azteca game I expect them to finish third or second but I give the slight advantage to Texans Red.

4.) LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA LIVERPOOL 00B (LIDDELL) - They are getting familiar to getting challenge. Coming from the Plano league, they were use to dominating last year. They are still getting results to go their way but not as easy as before. Each of their win and losses has been decided by a goal. I expect them to get use to the pace of the game and start getting more comfortable results.

5.) AZTECAS 00B ZALDANA) - I have not seen them played so given by their point margin and the opponents they have left I think they will end up in 5th or 6th place but have the slight edge to finish 5th.

6.) FORT WORTH FC 00B (HUDSON) - Very firm team with a steady defence, the mid field controls possession of the ball very well but the attacking forwards still need a bit more of improvement in their creativity. The team needs to eliminate critical mistakes that has cost them goals and wins. Given by the point margin they currently have (3) I predict they can make a run for 5th place but if they don't fix the mental mistakes they are looking at 6th place or 7th as their faith.

7.) COMETS SC BLUE 00B (BADII) - Have not seen them played but do to a 3-1 victory over AC LONGVIEW 00B (YODER) and the opponents they have remaining I think they will end up in this spot. Or may make a push for 5th place at best.

8.) AC LONGVIEW 00B (YODER) - A very promising team when you look at their players up top which are very physical. The kids come out motivated when its game time they give it their all and at times it helps but they need to control the ball more and play with ideas to have a chance against the opponents in D3. A very promising team that will improve if the kids stay together.

9.) TFC 00B BLUE (GARRETT) - If they truly have some of their top players out do to injury this team can make a push to maybe 7th place. This team is very technical with the ball. They have given up early goals but if they fixed the problem they can pull some results their way. Their defence needs to close the gap between the other team and save their goalie from the Stevie Wonder goals. If this team can have more ball control and be a bit more physical give the opposing team minimum room to play with the ball, their front line can create chances to score very easily.

10.) KERNOW STORM FC 00B (PENNA) - Have not seen them played but do to their last result and the opponents they have remaining. They might end up in the 10th place. They are in the same situation Liverpool is in which is they are getting use to the competition in classic but are just not getting the results and it might take longer for them to gel to get better results go their way.

pretty good review, mav. couple data points to consider:

    1) red west (formerly metro who didn't have to go thru qualifying) had more than their hands full with LP and others that didn't qualify while in Plano. they're just hitting the tough part of the schedule now.

    2) TFC white's showings are very incomplete (squeak by LP, beat azteca, and tie comets?). they still have to play Hurst and red west.

    3) LP had to rely on an own goal to beat Hurst. Their defense is statistically great, but thats asking alot every week. they do get the lower half of the table for a few weeks.

I like the discussions on the teams from D1 to D3. It is interesting the different views of teams that we have. Makes for great board reading because you all are being objective and not trying to cut other teams down.

Someone asked about Toros? I believe what happened is that they have a new coach and lost a few players becuase of that. They are not a bad team and they keep improving each week, but not yet to the level they were last Spring.
Odyssey and Chivas are the front runners. Should be a good game next week, they both have good offense and great defense. My prediction is that in addition to possibly losing to each other, they will lose one other game. Very hard to keep high level week after week for a full year.
    Hope for no rainouts!

Final results are in. Just a few observations:

    D1:
    - Nobody expected a tie between FCD East and DT White
    - Only Jimulon6 and TheGerman predicted a TFC loss to DT West (Insider information?) Smile
    - DT Red / Wizards was one of the D1 matches of the week and delta played out as predicted

    D2:
    - Overall the highest percentage of correct estimates. (29 of 35 choices correct) 5 of the 6 incorrect choices made in Tejanos/FCD match
    - The Strikers/Chivas was the one called closest by the group.

    D3:
    - Nobody predicted either the TFC White/TFC Blue or the Kernow/LP results
    - Everyone predicted the DT/Hurst and Aztecas/Comets matches

Overall the winner of the week with 11 of 15 matches called correct is Soccer23!

I'm going to give some props to Jimulon for his pick on the TFC game. He was the only one picking TFC Blue to compete here and earn any points. Everyone else had us losing by 2 goals or more.

And if not for the hand ball, which from my angle was the absolutely incorrect decision by the center, the score would have been just as he predicted, 2-1 Blue.

TFC Blue has another chance to prove me right this weekend. Sooner or later it's gonna happen. I think sooner.

The hand ball was against TFC White and I believe was the correct call. TFC Blue controlled 1st half and went up 1-0, TFC White came back in the 2nd to take the lead which made for a very competitive finish to the game.

Sorry, I guess I was confused by the red and blue uniforms--didn't know which team was "White". Maybe I had a bad angle but it looked like the ball hit the kid's thigh and then bounced off his hand inadvertently. However, you may be entirely correct. Even one of the parents on our team said it was the correct call. He and I were standing in markedly different places so I might not have seen it correctly. Don't want to take anything away from Blue, from the bit I saw you guys were playing well.

Saw the last half of this game and that was actually the second hand ball in the box with the first not being called, heard the whole game was dominated by TFC Blue
