OK. I agree that if that video was recorded on a field here in Dallas there's a high likelihood that the coach would have been swallowing a couple of his front teeth at about the 90-second mark. The Dallas version of that video would have probably ended with the boy's parent sitting in a squad car.
I pointed out an extreme case though to make my point. The parents (intentionally or unintentionally) enabled the coach in that video to get to that point. It's clear the kids in that video cannot stand up for themselves. When does a coach cussing at kids stop being funny? When does it go too far? When does verbal abuse turn into physical abuse?
We all seem to agree that parents, sometimes, have to protect their kids. I don't think it should be one-off parents doing it though. It doesn't work if 1 parent says "That's not OK." and then the rest say "Vote with your feet then. I don't mind it. It's competitive soccer."
