So my BB played in the game of the week today.

It was his birthday and his choice for his party was a father vs son soccer match. On the pitch were academy soccer players, rec soccer players and a fair number of baseball and football players. There was a good amount of trash talking and a whole lot of smiles!

This is what the beautiful game is all about. Dads who love their sons enough to sacrifice their bodies to play with them (a few dads limped off the field). Boys who love the game so much that the talent level of the players in no way determines the fun had on the pitch.

I have a feeling that I will be hearing about this game much longer than the wins and losses of his regular team!
