How many parents made a team and were used to u kid playing the entire game now u lucky he plays 25 minutes the entire game. How many parents are looking into other teams next year .

Additional questions....How many parent's can take off the Mommy/Daddy goggles and honestly evaluate why your bb is only getting 25 minutes and would Mommy/Daddy be willing to move down to D2/D3 so their bb will get more touches to develop?

Ibra - I do agree with you that as parents we tend to have a favorable eye to our children and so I like your question but might expand it as there are multiple leagues / teams on the board. Would you as a parent be willing to put your child down a league level or two to get additional playing time or the right coach for your bb?

I would also remark that there is more than ability that determines a bb's playing time. Unfortunately there are times that this is a trivialized portion of the decision to play a child or not. The belief of the coach in a child is just as big of a component. Unfortunately there are coaches that do not take an objective eye to the child in relation to the team and so the child will not receive more minutes or receives too many minutes.

I think he could get more playing time with a different team in D1 The team we in rosters 18 and the players are pretty even matched . I was looking at different teams playing styles not a kick ball team . The players in our team don't see much playing time and their solid players that could start on any D1 team .

A few weeks ago I asked a question about why scores were not getting posted on the Classic League's website in a more timely fashion. It appears that now we have some super lazy managers that can't seem to call in scores after their games. Those that were called in were posted in a very timely fashion this week. Thanks commish.

For those of you without a posted score, call your managers and tell them to call in the scores!! Good god, it takes all of 40 seconds to leave a message. You can do it as you are walking from the field to the car after the game!! Give me a break.

Sounds like you understood the situation going in. In a game where 11 play at a time on an 18 man roster, and all are "evenly" matched, someone suffers a lack of playing time. I know the team and I know the players, and you are right, top to bottom all are starters in D-1, but not when all are on the same team.

Tough situation for you and bb. Season half way done. One more half to go. Judging by the lack of parity in D-1 this season I would say you will have a ton of options in June. Guest play over the break, see if current team misses you, maybe get more PT in the Spring. And to answer your question, I bet a lot of D-1 players, on your team and others, are looking. So far you're the only one with the guts to come out and say it.

None of it may matter much wit the advent of PA next Fall.
