There really wasn't a solid "Match of the Week" during Week 9. Many of the predictions had large spreads between the teams.
DT Craft survived the early brutal schedule to gain some traction. But they end the season with another hot team, FWFC.
There didn't seem to be many predictions for upsets for Week 8.
Trivia Tidbit; The AWAY teams were 10 for 10.
As mentioned on earlier posts; the LP Keegan vs. DT South match was very close. LP Keegan hasn't been able to hit a consistent patch of games this season. For the most part, they've been competitive in almost every single game. They should have a decent upcoming Spring season.
The Sporting United vs. FCD Central was another tight match. I believe it was 0-0 at the half before Sporting pulled away in the second half. FCD Central draws FCD Che next week. A good chance for either squad to earn 3 points. Sporting encounters FCD Premier for the first time. This will be another good match-up.
These squads, simply, delivered as promised with big scoring outputs:
Solar Chelsea Red; 5
FCD Bazan; 4
DT Gall; 6
FCD Premier; 8
Titans; 4
Solar Chelsea Partain; 3
STANDINGS:
DT GALL is simply pulling away from the pack with a whopping 48 goals scored through game 9. The five teams at the bottom of the standings, combined, have not scored 48 goals. They will certainly score at least 50 for the season. On the defensive side; they've only conceded a league-best, six goals. Outstanding, by any measurement. They've certainly replaced Solar Chelsea Red as the team to beat. The squad seemed to jump in quality as they transitioned from Densk to Gall. They are +42 in scoring. A whopping +16 over the second place team.
FCD Premier; ranked 7th prior to qualifying is trailing DT Gall in second place. The hand-off from Snell to Pino seems to have occurred seamlessly. The team isn't flashy and doesn't appear to have a superstar leading the scoring. The balanced attack starts with a flurry of short-expert passing. They are +26 in scoring.
SOLAR CHELSEA RED is still a force. They are undefeated, only two draws marring their standing. The defense has only given up 9 goals, +3 to DT Gall. A very strong unit that plays aggressively and smart. They are +22 in scoring.
FCD BAZAN would also have an almost perfect record but had the unlucky task of playing DT Gall early in the season and later a scrappy FWFC. Save for this single defeat to DT Gall, they've had an exemplary season. They are +24 in scoring.
DT SOUTH (ADAME); Their only losses have come at the feet of Solar Chelsea Red & FCD Bazan, two of the top five squads. They are +18 in scoring. Their 8-0 crushing of Anoranza shows they are a squad to be reckoned with.
The Spring season will have these heavyweights go head-to-head. It will be very exciting.
The Titans can't be discounted; they tied both FCD Premier and Solar Chelsea Red. They haven't matched up against Solar Chelsea Partain, Sporting United, or DTS Adame, yet.
