Some good games and great efforts by the boys in the cold today. ManU steps up to tie Bazan, Titans Strong!©, Partain and LP Callaghan wage a spirited battle, FCD Premier manhandles Sporting U, LP Keegan holds DT to a 1-1 tie at the half, and DTR holds FWFC scoreless other than a PK in the last 5(?) minutes of the game. How about an internet round of applause for these kids! cheers

Unconfirmed reports from PHP that DT beat LPKeegan 4/5-1 and that FCD Blue won. I repeat, the report is unconfirmed and I do not actually know whether the latter point is accurate. drunken

That's what I heard, but I honestly didn't believe that score. I am surprised by the results achieved by the Waters squad this fall -- had anticipated much better results from them. Good for the FCD Blue boys, though!

It was a bit nippy this "early" morning! I would like to thank all of the players, coaches, refs and parents for making this season for me and my BB fun and memorable. All of the boys should be proud of themselves for their hard work to play and compete at this level. I'm looking forward to the spring league as well as the tournaments along the way. I can't wait for the Dallas Texans tournament in a couple of weeks! Best wishes to all of you and make sure you hug your BB!

    GAME FACTS, WEEK 10;

    The strong finish strong, mostly.

AVERAGE GOALS BY WINNING TEAMS: 3.6

AVERAGE GOALS BY NON-WINNINGS TEAMS: 0.3
This is a telling number for the last week of the season. Read it slowly, "zero, point, three".

TOTAL GOALS BY WINNING TEAMS: 29
TOTAL GOALS BY NON-WINNING TEAMS: 2

Excluding the two ties, non-winning teams combined to score only two goals this weekend. That's it.

    TOTAL GOALS SCORED: 35

    AVERAGE GOALS PER GAME: 3.5

    AVERAGE MARGIN OF VICTORY: 3.4

Any Manchester UTD or Bazan folks around. Would like some insight to that game. A 1 - 1 draw is really good.

I wish I was at that game.

I am with you on that one. I cant wait for the Dallas Texans Tournament. I was telling my BB yesterday as we were playing 1 v 1 against each other. To make sure he comes to play in that tourney. Thats were he can make a name for himself. Definitely when there is better competition....the true stars will rise to the occasion.

    GAME FACTS #2:

    PREDICTIONS RANKINGS….

10 CORRECT PREDICTIONS: 0 : Everybody missed the Bazan vs. ManU prediction. This should've been a slam dunk. But as many of us know, the ManU squad can be quite devilish with their skillful football skills.

9 CORRECT PREDICTIONS: 0 : Either the FCD Vedral/Wiz match or the FCD Che/Waters tripped most everyone else.

    8 CORRECT PREDICTIONS:

    PG-Boy
    Chino
    The Pilgrim, peregrino

    7 CORRECT PREDICTIONS:

Everyone else except, Kids Soccer, Right?

    6 CORRECT PREDICTIONS:

    Kids Soccer, Right?

    PREDICTION AVERAGE: 7.0556

MIA THIS WEEK: bb_01_keepers_dad, getafe01, omega striker, and cts.

SHOCKER OF THE WEEK: ManU v FCD Bazan; The Red Devils shut down Bazan's scoring machine. No one ever commented about the secret concoction used by Man U.

SHOCKER OF THE WEEK #2: The Titans complete obliteration of Coppell FC. Wow. Everyone predicted a Titan win, but 8 goals is a complete woodshed spanking. I have to re-borrow the copyright statement: Titans Strong!

SOOTHSAYER OF THE WEEK, TIE: peregrino and hatrick for predicting the 1-1 tie between the Wizards and FCD Vedral.

HAPPY STORY OF THE WEEK: Che's boys. Congrats.

    FCD Bazan Vs. Manchester United
I have been reading this forum for a while and it drives me crazy when parents have excuses/reasons for why they lose/tie a games. I will try not to be one of those parents.

I will make this brief FCD had chances the entire game but did not find the back of the net. If you don't score you cannot win. Manchester had one chance the entire game (PK) in the last 5 minutes of the game. They score and the game was tied 1-1. End of story.
