So in the event at the end of this crazy season people start looking at other clubs. I always hear about the bad. If I were to want to start pondering D1 teams..who has the best team? Best Coach? Or yet who would you advise I stay the #%*! away from?

Not only the team can be a nightmare, but the ‘club’ itself can be a challenge… there are clubs that forget that WE are the customer. They see the parents and boys like if they are doing US a favor!! You call the admin office… they take weeks to return your calls… you email them and it’s even worst!!! Our team is good, we are happy with our team… but the club organization is a joke and they have no respect for their customers!! :(

Who are your choices? I'm older than an 01, but I'll tell you what I know about the coaches

Are you looking for a good coach or a good team? They are the same. A team is a reflection of the coach.

While I think contracts technically run through June 30 from what I have seen June is an open month and kids are able to attend any open practice.

Correct. In June you can practice with anyone you want but you must get your current coach to sign a release if you want to play in a tournament with a different team.

Im not trying to jump ship just yet, just will always keep an eye open. The team is not bad. My kid is playing OK. I dont expect a miracle but I do expect some response(s) to my questions regarding my kid, his team, and what the coach expects. I would also like to see some coaching about how to score, create opportunities, etc.

His former coach was completely honest with his expectations of qualifying but I knew that with half of the talent below par, it wouldnt be up to my standards, so we moved on. Now I wonder if my standards are the same as my kid's. He claims they are. Bottom line, I have to remember, he's 11 but has lots of talent that needs to be coached. Is this coach the right guy? I dont know. Decisions Decisions.

I'll have made up my mind by mid-spring season Im sure.
