Finish-yes, and I will stand by that statement...I never said beat them and have explained that all I meant is we would not be blown out.

Dunga- I wasn't trying to imply that is the only type of soccer the Wizards know how to play. I was simply stating how the goals were scored. The team quickly realized that we were at a speed disadvantage on our left side and every kid on the Wizards team turned and kicked the ball as hard and as far as they could on that one side to try and spring the forward....Wizard parents on the sideline were bragging that the goals count regardless of how they are manufactured and I completely agree....again, I would love to see a rematch.....

if that was a muted celebration then I would hate to see what an enthusiastic celebration would consist of.

With that, y'all have fun as we are moving to SA, I just hope we can find people that love the game as much as we do and that BB can play on a team as talented as TXL99 Gold....

Good luck in SA. Don't believe TXL will make it out of D3. As you have found out this year, it's a long way from D3 to D1 (and even the middle of D2).

Good luck in SA! But say what you will, your team was at a disadvantage in every aspect.

Haha, just as those who stated TXL wouldn't have even come out of APL, nor given much credited for qualifier ,,,, the best is yet to come .... Yes say what you will

Now, you're getting closer. Yes, I believe they could compete at the middle to bottom of D2. Right now, they will have to settle for the middle of D3. Where I part company with your thought process is when you say they could compete at the bottom of D1. At that level, TXL would be winless and become the D1 punching bag. Next year, when the 99 birth year kids head to PA, there will be a lot of player movement and anything can happen.

kind of like Comets Blue being the D1 punching bag. TXL is a team with a lot of spirit. They can only get better. Excuses cant be given out. I actually feel with time TXL will make it out of D3. Good teams are built from the ground up. No disrespect intended but D1 coaches are just good recruiters. They take players fully developed and add them on. But I wont really start taking this seriously until my boy is 15-16 years old and he still wants it. Then maybe a big club is in order. Until then let's just enjoy the ride!!! Good luck to all of you this upcoming season!! Merry Christmas!

you know maybe those type of teams actually could now? when the new PA came about it not only took alot of elite players but it shook up alot of teams with only DTS truely not being affected,I could say SR but they lost some great players who only play PA but SR's dual rostered PA players have played in just about every classic league game so far. look how well some of the D2 teams that just got bumped up is doing so far hell look at DTR who got bumped up cause' the Texans folding their top team cause' of PA they are on top of D1 right now what a suprise! so might whole point being sure their might still be more talented players in classic D1 league but a solid core team from a lower league right now could sneak in a win! affraid

Exactly, DTR is a good example of how the PA player movement brought benefits to a team. Next year should bring even more of the same. Good players from lower level teams may have opportunities to move up to more competitive teams. Take a look at the top of the 98 D1 list. Some strong independent teams have gained a lot of ground.

well i believe DTR only picked up a few and not one is a PA player but they are basically just the same solid team from last year? maybe on here or "lurking" could chime in and confirm? Suspect

OS, I believe DTR picked up a striker from FCD South/Wizards and a center mid who is dual rostered PA.

yea but the striker is not the key to that team although a great addition to the team the center mid was already there from previous year and was dual rostered later in the season along with the a defender and the two players from DTS to the Texans PA team.
