Whether you like it or not cheating is very real in soccer on an international level. If FIFA has problems with cheating, then why would it be any different in the US were we have no way of really checking ages. The Ghanian kid's birthday is in August of 1999. That would mean that he could play u13 next year. I dont think they MUST have cheated but they MAY have cheated. But cheating is very real. Why does it seem to be kids born in other countries so many times. LOL. I know for sure of kids that play right here in N.Dallas that are cheating, playing for large clubs and the clubs really dont know. I'll bet money that the Ghanian kid is not just turning 12 a few months ago.

Then it sounds like the Texas clubs were possibly cheating too by what you say you personally know ("play right here in N. Dallas that are cheating")- so why cry foul? Probably more people from other countries in Texas than in Illinois - so more potential to cheat for players here in Texas than there is in Illinois.

AND, if you know of people cheating here in Dallas, why aren't you turning them in? "If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem?"

Dude, its nothing you can do. It's very easy to get legal documentation with whatever age you want, from certain countries . Thats why FIFA even had to start age testing. LOL. The only solution is to age test everyone, and that will not happen any time soon. I only brought this up because people were saying that Chicago is doing something right. TRUE MAGIC. LOL

Actually my son was moved to the midfield and shut him down. lol

We just asked him. He told us. Its not about height most of the time either. The Ghanaian kid isn't that tall.

They beat their NTX opponent, Solar 98, 6-0 in bracket play.

You are correct 98O regarding the U14 Showcase Bracket C. I believe AND! was referring to the U13 Showcase Bracket B. In either case, the Chicago Magic won both Brackets as well as the U14 and U13 Showcase Divisions. For the record, the Magic also won the top U12 Division, giving them a clean sweep.

AND!, wouldn't you agree that is an impressive showing for the Chicago Magic club?

he was refering to the U13's not U14's but yet bigger and faster beat Solar(castro) 6-0 too bad NTX doesnt take "loaded" teams to tournaments like that? scratch

Very... but i didn't see the u12 or u14 teams play. I did hear some rumble of overage players on the u14 team. Just rumble tho. So since i "know" they cheated in the u13 bracket it puts a damper on the legitimacy of the other wins. Where there's smoke there's fire. Oh yeah, that "Ghanaian" kid was really born in Nigeria. That makes me even more skeptical. LOL

    You should offer to become a volunteer A&D investigator for NTSSA because;
    - I know for sure of kids that play right here in N.Dallas that are cheating, playing for large clubs and the clubs really dont know. Many people may suspect but you have the facts evidently.
    - The Ghanian kid's birthday is in August of 1999 As you so clearly stated that there is no way of knowing for sure the authenticity of foriegn birth certificates but you have the low down on this kid from Chicago. Wow!! What a network !!!
    - Why does it seem to be kids born in other countries so many times You even know where they are born even though the foreign birth certificates are bogus. That is truly impressive.
    - Oh yeah, that "Ghanaian" kid was really born in Nigeria. And the magic continues of people just opening up anfd telling you that they are not from where they claim nor the age they claim. Truly impressive.
Is your last name Creskin by any chance?? Razz

LOL....You sound like your mad at me. Dont be mad a me because my kids play up, not down. But I know... more internal issues.
(((Many people may suspect but you have the facts evidently))))
Yes the facts jack. I coached at Irving Soccer Association. I received a roster every season with the birth dates next to each player. A few players i later saw playing in an age group that i knew, ( based solely on the birthdates on my roster) they shouldn't be in. Maybe those birthdates were wrong.

(((As you so clearly stated that there is no way of knowing for sure the authenticity of foriegn birth certificates but you have the low down on this kid from Chicago. Wow!! What a network !!!)))
The network is so great that I know how retarded you are. I told you that we didnt need a network because all we did was just ASK the kid. I'm sure if anyone know his birthdate and where he is from he does. Great A&D Investigator work.

(((You even know where they are born even though the foreign birth certificates are bogus. That is truly impressive.))) Your thought process isn't too impressive. It doesn't take rocket science to ask.
(((And the magic continues of people just opening up anfd telling you that they are not from where they claim nor the age they claim. Truly impressive.
Is your last name Creskin by any chance?? )))
I made a mistake calling the kid "Ghanaian" instead of "Nigerian" , who cares, should've just said West African. But yes, the kids (the nigerian kid and some of his teammates) didnt think twice about talking to my sons, maybe because they are Nigerian too. They actually started talking to them first. Great kids. Some people are not scared to communicate with people from other countries.

The team roster at Disney have the birthdates on them. Coaches for the opposing team can look at them. Daaaaaaa don't need much investigator work to look and see.

The almigty KRESKIN can find out when and were somebody is born by looking into the past thru a special crystal ball or just ASK or read what they say is their birthday. TRUELY great A&D investigation work. LOL, LOL bounce farao

I could have really cared less how old the kids was and the clubs bringing in super teams. Thats a club issue used to sell the success of the club. Didn't see the other age groups was too busy taking a butt kicking in our own games but I was most disappointed in the fact was the same straight ahead 100 miles and our BS that I see here in NTX. Kids were bigger and faster but the soccer wasn't any better. I was hoping to see a little something better in Disney and I didn't

No team or BB had an answer for Chicago Magic U13. They beat up everyone in their path and cruised through the Finals. It's one thing to come on the forum and brag to everyone about your BB being great, playing up and shutting people down in tournaments (didn't happen this time). It's another not to stand out enough to know who he is. Not hatin', just statin'.

Don't understand what you mean by no team had answer for the Magic but my sons team did very well against them. They were the only team to score 2 goals, and one of their goals was an unexplained "on-goal" that they had nothing to do with. They "nigerian " kid kept dribbling up the middle of the field until he scored a goal. The coach switched my bb from the outside to the middle and he totally shut him down. He ripped him repeatedly to produce free kicks (because he would foul when he lost the ball) and easy goal chances that were not taken advantage of. Anybody that watched the game would have seen this. My BB was tough and rough with him, playing his body to make him come up with some good one v one skills that he really didn't have. He's understands how to play against older kids because he played u13 Last year. The taller striker hurt us on two breakaways.

Have no idea who you are or who your kid plays for but that is pretty arrogant stuff. I hope you kid can back that up or you are putting more pressure on him than he needs. By the way, there a kids at every age group that start and make an impact for their team and have been doing so for years....

I'm glad you liked the line. I knew you could appreciate the humor.

Also noticed the only team to score 2 goals on the U13 Chicago Magic was the winless Alpharetta Ambush. That puts you in Georgia. Our NTX team, Barcelona beat you guys pretty good 3-1. What happened there? Next, I looked up Alpharetta Ambush Got Soccer account and noticed they are ranked low in Georgia at 30th in the state.

Still, I am very interested in your team and would like to see your BB play. Keep us updated on your tournament schedule. We have the Dallas Cup in the Spring. Is anyone from your area planning to play?

Btw-don't really like to talk about my BBs on the forum. They have to stand on their own and make a name for themselves.

Some teams don't really use gotsoccer they use Soccerincollege.
    http://www.soccerincollege.com/sicrank.aspx?#
Ranked third in state. Just where they should be based on classic 1 play. Only the ignorant to development really cares about rankings which are always skewed. I see you diidnt dispute what my bb did in that game. Pretty dang good for a "late" 2000.
When Ambush played Barcelona they were out. The coach started players they didnt get much time the whole tournament and played them "alot", which was very smart since the results didn't matter, they were headed home. The Ambush team got to the finals last year and did the best against the winning team this year. Thats Facts. Like you said yourself, the only team that scored 2 goals on Magic, and had the smallest goal differential. So maybe Ambush should have been in the finals again. LOL Pretty dang good for a super small club. How much did the magic beat your Barcelona 3-0., Kraze beat you and the magic beat them 6-0. What happened there? Didn't get to see the back of the net. Is one of the players on Barcelona overage? Just asking. LOL
Dallas Cup,,LOL Check the results the last two years. The teams that will compete playing "soccer" are the foreign teams and the Latino teams. We get all the competition we need playing up in the unregulated latino leagues here. LOL

Hatin' and statin'? LOL. Looks like your Ambush played in another tourney this past weekend, the Nike Cup. Again, didn't make it out of bracket play. But, hey, your team tied the team that won the Final. So you should have been there too? LOL.

That's back-to-back tournaments with woulda, coulda - didn't. LOL. Not Hatin' just Statin'. LOL.

You're a good sport AND! Your team would win some games here in NTX. Wouldn't compete for the top spot in our D1, but you would do ok. Keep us up to date with your BB. Mabye we will see him on TV some day. You never know...

Your very right about not making it out of the bracket at the Atlanta cup. They didnt have three key players(goalie and center back) due to Super y finals and Basketball. Their whole team was at Disney tho and was second best in the u13 bracket, even with a 50% residency rule for the team. Yes 50% of the team has to be from ONE City. Try to compete with that rule at your tryouts. I'm always amazed that they compete that well. I never said woulda i just said that the Nigerian kid seemed way too old, and i still say that. How do you know how they would compete in NTX, i could recruit a few mature kids from Irving and fill the week spots that the 50% rule forces and Baaam. The team goes from 3rd or 4th to contending for the top. But your right about them having a hard time contending for the top spot with the team they have now.
Remember that Texas is tough because of the Latino population. See how quick FCD took over the top spots, and they are just starting. I remember a time when "people" would always talk down on the Latino teams and their players. Not anymore. LOL LOL

Age cheating in youth soccer is a real problem. It is an epidemic in africa and other 3rd world countries where kids can get out of poverty and earn a nice contract. You can get papers very easily to show whatever age you want. Compare it to the steroid problem, everyone is doing it if they can get away with it. They will often be a grade or 2 higher in school than the kids they play with.

A simple google search can uncover hundreds of cases. In 12+yrs of national and int'l youth soccer I have yet to see a kid with a US passport look like a man among boys. That description is a tip off for 'born outside the US'

South African journalist Thomas Kwenaite uncovered several "age-cheats" who participated in an Under-15 age group tournament representing South Africa hosted in France. The captain of that side was a 24 year old third year University student from Port Elizabeth.[6] After revealing the age of the player, the player's father took Kwenaite to the South African press ombudsman for "slander" before withdrawing his complaint after it was found that school records show that the player would have started school aged 2 years old.
