I'm sure one of the DT South parents will comment with "Because they're giving someone else a chance to win".
Anyway, were they out of town at another tournament?

I honestly would be interested to know if new fcd south francisco squad will participate in the spring SDL schedule with the usual Top 15 from the greater north?

I wouldn't place them into the top 15 till they show results from at least one SDL season,the usual established teams have earned their spots in the rankings.

I think your first few attempts were off a bit, but I think you are getting closer. I would ask why you have TX Suns and FCD South/Francisco so high? Do you have any explanation or basis for that opinion? I think if you move those two out of the top ten and move TFC Larry to 7, Blue to 8 and Gerrard to 9, then you could plug in a Odyssey or LP Fagen at 10. Just my thoughts base upon league play, tournaments and watching games.



Some great games this past weekend but the fields seemed a little small for 11 v. 11 and the halves were pretty short. Good showing by TFC to get to the semi's and for FCD Premiere to win. Overall, I think FCD Snell plays the best style of football, even over DTS and Crushers and Dynamo. They may not win all their games, but they play a pretty brand of soccer.

This is whats wrong with NTX soccer; parents create such a competitive environment that kills development, creativety ect... why do we care who is top 15, no one should care who is top 15 U10 teams are, let these boys play and have fun. I have seen too many teams play to win games (kick ball) instead of working on development. I understand this is a forum for discussion but some how we need to look past winning games.

I agree with you to an extent but also disagree. It is no secret based upon my previous posts that I enjoy a good ranking thread just as much as the next person, but I agree that it is really just for this forum. I hope the parents do not tell their kids about some anonymous ranking on an internet site or worry that it means anything. I would not put extra pressure on my kid to win so his team could get a higher ranking from someone on the internet and I don't think many parents would. I think the rankings are pretty harmless if you see them as mainly a distraction from work for desk jockeys.



On the other hand, I agree that the parents put too much pressure on their kids to win, but I don't think this forum is to blame. I think most parents don't know this forum exists and they still put a lot of pressure on their kids to win and be on the top teams. Just listen to any 02 game on the sidelines and hear the parents yellig. If you speak spanish, you can hear it in two languages. The parents ranting is the real pressure cooker and the lectures after the games when a kid plays bad. If the parents would start the season by saying, " how is my son developing, instead of how good a team do we have, things will be better. IMHO"

I think it should be all about the kid and not about the team at this age.
