Out in the sticks in 12-4A Aledo is 1-0-2 in district play. I know, who cares.

Here are the standings as of today.
http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/high-schools/boys-soccer-news/#stats
M2C, your district is out of date on its' standings.
In 5A, District 8-5A is very competitive and still up for grabs. The winner of this district will be battle tested and a worthy opponent in the HS playoffs. Coppell is doing well at the midway point in 8-5A. Mansfield looks good, as well and McKinney Boyd.

Omega, you're a TJ kid?
Back in the day… it was TJ, WT White, BA, and Kimball! The suburbs were just a dream in the eyes of real estate developers.
My boys back in Pleasant Grove, ahem, PG, couldn't carry the water bottles for you boys.

Mansfield and Midlothian have looked very good in 5-5A. They could possibly give some north suburb teams a real challenge come playoff time.

Yesterday's Dallas Morning News had this week's Boys Area Rankings as follows:
1. Coppell
2. Jesuit
3. Plano
4. Flower Mound
5. McKinney Boyd
6. Richardson Berkner
7. Richland
8. Flower Mound Marcus
9. Keller
10. Allen
I think they are spot on when you consider strength of schedule.

Re: 2012 HS WARM-UP
I dug around and saw the standings for 4-5A through 11-5A.
Those are the 8 5A districts around the DFW area (saw the 4A, too).
How are play-offs seeded / who makes play-offs?
Only district winners, top two in each district, advance, or what.
Please advise.

Sorry, I forgot to clarify; yes, those are the 5A rankings. Advancement depends on the size of the district. For 8 team districts, the top half advance to bi district.

Does anyone know of a website to get scores and standings for other Districts such as 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 5A?

Re: 2012 HS WARM-UP
Dont know as there is one. You have the Star Telagram's DFWvarsity.com but it is a joke. They are too lazy to even look up the districts on the UIL. Some of the scores they post as 12-4A are for teams not even in that district. The records are incomplete. If you find an official soccer standing site please do share.

Didn't mean to step on toes. Yes, it's far from over. Plano plays Flower Mound and Lewisville plays Hebron tonight. IMHO I think Plano & Marcus finish in the top two. I could be totally wrong. With teenage boys you never know who is going to show up.

Re: 2012 HS WARM-UP
District 8-5A
Monday 3/5 Results
Flower Mound Marcus 2 Plano West 1
Plano 0 Flower Mound 2
Plano East 0 Allen 0
Lewisville 1 Hebron 3
Huge win for Flower Mound over Plano, actually helps out Marcus. Standings now have Marcus at 15, Plano at 13, Allen and Flower Mound at 12 and Hebron at 11. Can't get much closer. Allen and Flower Mound (tied for third place) tied their only district meeting so far, and they play again the last game of the regular season. Friday's Plano/Marcus game will be huge. A win for Marcus would all but wrap up first place, but a Plano win gives them first place due to a 2-0 record against Marcus (they won the first matchup 1-0). Good stuff!

Come playoff time, respect the winner of 8-5A...Next year, that district gets re-aligned and we move into it.

How is Bi-District Determined?
So, how do they match up the districts for bi-district play? Are they seeded? Are they predetermined? It would be ashamed to see a team like Allen (assuming 4th place from 8-5A) have to go up against Coppell (1st place from 7-5A), since Allen could probably win most of the other 5A districts. I looked at the UIL brackets on their website, but that doesn't give you much at this point. Any help?

soccerdad96b wrote:I know all that. The question was what Districts play each other in bi-district?
If you look at the brackets the UIL has out there, you will see R1, T2, F3, W4 which means:
R1=2nd out of District 1= El Paso Teams
T2=3rd out of District 2=Amarillo/Lubbock Teams
F3=4th out of District 3=Abilene/Midland/Odessa/San Angelo
W4=Winner of District 4=Arlington/Ft.Worth/Weatherford/Crowley
It takes a little work but you can figure it out. To get District listing click on the 2011-2012 Official Soccer District Alignment Conference 5A and so on. So if you look all the District 1 teams are from ElPaso and so on. Hope this helps.
