after speaking with quite a few parents who i have come to know over the years by way of my kid playing competitive soccer, I was thinking about how many are saying that their kids are not playing as much now as they have in the past? it seems as we move along alot of parents(kids included) just plain and simply get "burned out" but there are still many who do not, whose kids TRUELY love the game of soccer and dont play ANY other sports(the american way 
) what are you guys doing or do you even notice it? this also includes PA parents so your not left out on this one it seems to me that "club soccer" just doesnt put "pressure" on our kids but also in a way on the parents in thinking we dont have any other options but there is and its really simple.....its called a "pick up game" if you dont know about it then find out especially if your kid LOVES to or WANTS to play not just because you think this will be the answer to making your kid the next best thing or because you will learn somekind of "inside scoop" or whatever? for alot of you this a great alternative to paying for camps and skills sessions which are great and all and if you got money to blow 
but for those who dont or better yet WILL NOT spend anymore money think about what i posted and if you want some ideas feel free to pm me 
oh and since today is 12/24/11 merry christmas to ALL especially the friends i have met thru our kids and soccer!
