Congrats to the Dynamo/DT 00 for winning the Texans Madness in Houston in the 99 age bracket. Very good showing against a tough competetion and I wonder what will happen to the competetion in Dallas once Marcio Leite will get a hold of them in the summer.

Are you spreading, or confirming the rumor that Marcio will get them?

There is no rumor and personally I can't wait for him start working with the boys.

Hey while we are confirming Texans things. Any info on the 99 group and my best friend "extra cheesy"? I will confirm today, that both DT craft and DTR will be in the Dallas cup or at least some version of 2 Texan teams.

Marcio offered camps in the past during school break that were not Dynamo exclusive but a lot of the Dynamo kids took advantage of.

"What will happen to the competition in Dallas.....",

I guess all the other 00 teams like the Bandits will just stop playing soccer and take up a different sport.....

Maybe all the other 00 teams can file a petition with NTX to play in 2001 age group?

Or how about Leite refuses to play any other 00 team because they are unworthy of his team / coaching and any game vs DT Dynamo has to be against a team made up of the best players from all the other clubs in Dallas?

The competition will not change. DT Dynamo is a great team (arguably the best or second best right now) in that age group and will continue to get better with Pomykal or Leite. If anything, they will go from 2 to 1 faster, but it's not giong to change the competition.

BTW, congrats DT! Way to represent Dallas and your club!

I don't know anything, nothing to tell. I would like it to be known for the record that everything is as it should be. I for one will not stand in the way of the Darklord HN. However, I would welcome anyone else who wants to shed a little light.

Yes one DTS player played with us. Did he get a lot of play time? I don't think so. In case we can manage something with the birth certificate maybe!!!

Good for them, they are a good team. I think NTX has stronger teams that STX.

One player can make a significant difference don't kid yourself. Who did the Dynamo beat in the semis and finals?

ASG: Not a good example---That team was not the same after several strong players left and the one "special" player was left on the team...ASG was not the same (and had some losses) even with him still playing for them. You need more than one strong player to be successful.

96 DTR is just as bad as an example as they lost several players also.

Ask Solar 98. A good team went to #1 in the country with the addition of one exceptional player.

Yes, but that exceptional player was not able to help his former team do much after the loss of several strong players. So, that proves the point even more--an exceptional player needs other strong players with him/her to be a successful team. Mediocre team + one exceptional player does not equal success. The key with Solar is that they were already a good team--makes a huge difference.

Levelheaded is right about Solar 98. We have played them before and after their new addition and although he is good he doesn't stand out. That whole team is strong and doesn't have a weakness at any position. The bench if there is one is just as good. ONE exceptional players doesn't make a bad team good, it only makes a good team better.
I also think that the addition to Solar did not make them #1 in the nation. If they had traveled to California last year whose to say they wouldn't have earned their national ranking then. If you notice their victory in California elevated them to that position. Got soccer is about tournaments and points earned. Until you play the best teams which usually come from Southern California you can't really guage where your team is nationally.

BS that ONE player was THE goal scorer on that team and the main reason the were undefeated because he was just a pure scoring machine!
and the ASG kid another example he was the kid that did all the scoring sure other great players help but those are examples of IMPACT players that just get it done even on an 11 player squad! i know it's hard to swallow but the truth is the truth especially in the case of the 96's the other two players that left are "good" players also but "00" is something ultra special!

Yo 'mega- you should check your facts before popping off that the '99 is THE goal scorer on the 98 Solar team. Unless, you watch every game and count the scores player for player, you are just assuming...and we know what that does for you and me! He is indeed the BOMB but to say he is THE goal scorer is not entirely true. They posted 93 + some odd goals in the classic league w/o him last season and to date are not trending that high this year. But there is no arguement here that he is indeed a playmaking goal scorer...and congrats to DT'00 for whatever they achieve. They were built the same way and deserve all they get1

We are all entitled to our opinions and somewhat limited by our own personal experiences. Add an exceptional player to any of the bottom '99 D1 teams and they will rise in the standings. Team dynamics change. This is especially true at this age and younger. As the players gain more experience, the sum of the team is greater than its individual players. My experiences are limited to 25 years of soccer on 2 continents.
