Actually, the suarez game was tied 2-2 and suarez scored with a minute left in the game.

That's one thing I will give Suarez. That team has heart. They never give up and never stop coming at you. Talented players and a forward who doesn't need much space at all to make you pay. Sounds like comets forgot to finish the game. What happened to Craft? Not so cheesy today. Either the Gunners have really come on or Craft has lost a step or two. Who has the breakdown? Keep it up Gunners and you will make us all look silly and stay in D1.

A fly on the wall told me some of the calls on the Comets were outrageous! Both free kick goals were handed to the FC team. Is that true?

That fly has some bad vision. The first goal was a PK; the FCD Player was fouled in the box. The second free kick, was a shot from 30 yards out. The Goalie could not have done anything about that high arching ball unless he was 7-8 inches taller. Their Goalie played great! Perhaps that call was sketchy. However, there were questionable calls on both sides.

    true,

True? It wasn't even a free kick the first goal, it was a P.K. Were you there?

Actually, Smurfy was still catching up on her beauty sleep. Although, from what I heard, Suarez was LUCKY to walk away with a win.

Does it always have to be "LUCKY" when a team wins. How about a Team that didn't give up; FCD was down 2-0 at half! Give FCD some credit.

Smurfette, have a little respect would ya. You weren't even there so what would you know besides a little hearsay?

For starters, shame on the Comets for giving away a 2-0 lead, and for enders, looks like the Comets are the only ones that will have to be REAL LUCKY to make D1. But what's the difference, you'll be the first running to the door when they don't make D1.

I would call it luck when a team continues to depend on PKs or a free kick rather than convincingly beating a team with possession of the ball and actually playing the game of soccer rather than the long ball. But hey that’s just me. Kudos to Suarez he pulled one off.

As Go99 might say “the force was strong with that team today”…..

Gonna pat myself on the back here. Suarez wins and shows good heart and character to keep playing and fighting. I know a lot of teams who would just give up and 2 to 0. Gonna drop the gauntlet now and say only 1 of those teams makes D1 and right now it does look like FCD.

The fact is with the Comets schedule it will be almost impossible for them to make d1 unless they pull off an upset or two.

I would say the same about a lot of N Texas teams. I would love to see teams work the ball around and make top class goals but hey blunt force works in U11.

CCO looked very out of sorts in the 1st half, but played a stronger 2nd half to win 3-1. Agree that it was not a pretty game, but points are points.

it was more like FCD Blue as in many games i've seen with them played a good ball control game and set up a beautiful goal in doing so but then in the second half got scored on with a rocket from outside the box and as usual seem to just let down, stop moving the ball around and started the kickball session!
FCD(suarez) has to be Hands down the team with the biggest will to win and a never say die style of play being down 2-0 and coming back to get the 3-2 win penaltys are placed in the rules for a reason its part of the game not to commit them cause' if you they can cost you the game! well done FCD(suarez) which i will now name them FCD "the pitbull squad" !!!!!
also congrats to Barelona in beating a defensively tough ASG team.
congrats to DTS in winning 3-1 over a tough tough Chivas team(heard it was a rough played game)
two shockers were of course Andro Red tieng Tyler Azzuri(who now gets the rowdiest parents award, lol)
and FWFC beating Solar(crawford) great win FWFC they are great team that alot of people seem to have forgot!
and lastly Texans beat Gunners 1-0 didn't see the game too much it looked like a tough one?

I don't know about you but here is my overall feeling : it is nice to see the kids back on the big field, nice to see all those match up we are getting use to and nice to see all the kids and parents alike.
I may be wrong but I also have a feeling we saw better soccer. Kids are improving individually and the teams are better.
Awesome day ! Awesome soccer !

Sorry folks. It was a great day, but that was not awesome soccer. Two touches on the ball and a blind boot up top is not soccer. There is discipline and shape involved in this game and it's gravely missing at this age. And the parents are applauding for the kickballer effort. Good grief! I did hear two refs get into a very heated debate, though. Disagreement on how to call the game. Lovely. Also saw a kid spit at a ref. Now, there's an effort! And Chivas gets a red card. Finally! And, where is the Suarez bashing. They were trash this Winter (see earlier post) and now the Second Coming. Ridiculous. Touch, pass, build, cross, finish. Discipline! That's football.

Couldn't agree more baba boy, I see marked improvement with the kids I am watching and it is a beautiful thing to see! That's what it's all about at this age.

What about never pack it in and quit! Isn't that discipline? An attempt to re-energize the "Suarez bashing", tells me you're another Parent who feels scorned.
