Ok Axx, here's a simple solution for you. And I see this every game. When a player is trying to save a ball from going out of bounds, spin away from the defender and try to maintain possession. Don't spin into the defender and kick. Pet peeve and makes me crazy.

We all know Suarez will make it, but what next? What do you do to the existing team? All those kids who give it their heart and soul to secure a spot for FCD. How will FCD handle that one? Can they actually send some of those kids away?

Lol you should ask some of the Texans teams that kids are moved off and replaced with better players. It's nothing new, the bye belongs to the club. Not just FCD but all the other clubs too. There are some crafties who will have to find somewhere else to play. If not this next season then the one after that.

The sophomore shuffle is going to sting and burn for some. Others will find a new awakening.

Sounds like the sophmore shuffle is starting early this year! Didn't think we would get snowed out but I don't think 6-7" of snow is going to melt Friday.

if they are smart, they will scrape the fields tonight to clean the snow before it melts. The fields would then be fine for the weekend. Of course if the grounds crew is not that good they will just leave it. The snow will melt before the weekend but will soak the grass making it too wet to play (in texas)

Scraping the fields? That would imply that they're going to lift a finger...don't see THAT happening. I suggest the parents get together and go build some snow people and line them up on the sidelines.

So Go, as everybody know you are completely against the Texans (as a club obviously, not the kids/parents) and seem to be really set on FCD.  Now, you just admit that they both handle their roster the same way with not much consideration for the kids. So, in your opinion what makes such a difference between the 2 monster clubs of the Dallas area ?

For the record I am not against the texans. Not a fan of HN, unless he is listening. In that case I love the club and think HN is the greatest ever. So please don't ban me from any soccer related activity in the southern hemisphere . I spoke to people from the Texans and can appreciate their honesty in dishonest times. They made no pretense of where their focus lies. It was winning and all of the great things BB would win and the fabulous trip he could take to manchester. It's the culture here and winning attracts talent and build bigger clubs. FCD has a plan, we will see on execution, but at least it's a plan that is different. I always say if I am going to step in dog sh*t, I would rather step in a different pile today than yesterday. Doing the same things will get us the same results. FCD has an advantadge that they can take the revenue hit that will come with and true change and take a long term gain on transfers. Change in europe came from the pro clubs and it will come from there here too. If FCD proves to not have the guts to make any real change then I will go somewhere else. The plan is solid, the change is true, they will lose players short term, it will take guts to execute, but will change the product being put out. We will see this summer if they can do it, if not then we will move on.

Go I agree with you that FCD should lead the way in developmental reform. On the other hand, it's the same 'ol BS in a different pile. Change by Summer, or else? Seriously? Maybe when Axx Jr. is U16. You're gonna have to ride it out, and let it go.

thats one of the problems. u14 and u16 is too late for true soccer development. Again if there is not change and it's all about winning so you can make bigger clubs then that what it will be. But that also leaves us open to just win like eveyone else. Get on the best team you can and win as much as you can. It's also not a change or else. I am not an ultimatum kind of guy. As gababa would say, I am a customer however. If the product is not something worth purchasing you can always take you money elsewhere. But instead of letting it go, maybe if more parents ask for more the clubs would change. I am in the minority here, most parents just want to win (beat you to it)

There is still plenty of room to develop in rec soccer. BB can get many touches and, if he is good, can play every position (very important). Competitive soccer is a business and winning is good for business. Not good enough for you, move somewhere else. I hear East Texas is real nice.

That's one of the funniest things I have heard on this site in a long time. The alltime winner has to be Plantit with the Pam dating Figo post that has taken on a life of its own.

Both those teams were, if think 5 and 6 at u11. Gold got a boost from the 2 two hispanic kids that took them from about 18th to 11th at u11. The roster change has alot to do of where the sit at this time.

Don't know about U11 but I belive at the merger both teams were ranked higher than that. They merged 2 really good teams to free hayden for the juniors. Plantit will have to clarify on the gold one.

It amazing how you speak of topics you have NO idea about. Suarez has already tried to start changing players for next year. Whats wrong, he cant teach them the game? Why dont you do some research on how many players Suarez changes EVERY YEAR. Further more if Diego had stayed with FC, Suarez would NOT have the team he has.

If Diego had stayed with FC, those boys would be mentally broken by now (no offense GO, I know you like him). I'm sure FC is tired of all the drama, so they'll just go hire a new coach to take the top 99s and there you go, more drama.

some of them would have been. Definately not the coach for every kid. BB loves him though and really grew as a player under him. I would say the same about bobby though. Not the coach for every kid. BB's game has really improved under him but he is not the guy who is going to crack down on kids and make them do it.

Actually we only got 1, at mid season at u-11 the other you speak of came on with us over the summer . He played u-12 w/ barcelona. The point is we have had a few nice pick-ups , but, the gold team still has 7 players with them that have played on that team since academy, that same core plays 85 to 90 % of the game . Other than haden last week the team consistantly hangs with other d-1 teams that have transformed themselves through upgrades.
