    Messi Sick Goal

    Post  finish1 on Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:01 am

Highlight from the Barca vs Getafe game on Saturday. The pressure started from the opening kick. Ibrahimovic chases down the pass-back all the way to the keeper. Seconds later, Yaya sends one wide to Messi. His skills leads to an effort wide off the goalie. The ensuing corner is finished by Messi in what looks like an impossible shot. Love that Barca football!

]Wow.... love watching Barcelona play... its always
amazing to just count how many passes they string together at any point in the
game.. Messi is stunning to watch... when he hunkers down and begins a run
    through the defense its nuts..

    The
bend on that show was sick.. the best camera angle is from behind Messi.... huge
crown of white shirts charging him and he just bends it around them.. keeper
    never saw it coming.

Will be a great end of season match. Sevilla is always tough to beat at home. You are fortunate to see games in many places.

Funny, I watch that goal at least 10 times Saturday, showed it to the kids in super slow motion to illustrate what they have been trying to do for weeks (the curve balls). Messi is just phenomenal, that amazing touch and that capacity of making the right choice.Plus the beauty of the barcelona's soccer(could Messi play like that in Italie ? In England ?)...Axxman I am so super jealous !!!

Hard to teach a kid that . They can't create enough velocity on the ball to create the much english. Nothing wrong with trying though.

Thanks for confirming, that's what I thought too but wasn't sure. My older one is vaguely able to do it but not the 2 young ones. Has to do with power too. Thanks

BB did a science project for school on how to bend a soccer ball. Same here, he can get the ball to bend some but no where near the velocity and degree of the pros.

I bet his next book report will be: "THE DOWNFALL OF AMERICAN SOCCER. WHY MOST EXPERTS BELIEVE IT STARTED IN NORTH TEXAS."
    by GO Jr.
It will be a 350 page report that says the same thing over and over and over again.
