The US needs to play the whole game like they did in the last 5 minutes. No real threats against the defense oriented Neds. Anyone else watch the game? What happened to Donovan? Was he asleep the entire match?

LD was on the field? He did not show up at all.

F1 did you notice the crazy runs the 3 upfront players were making for the Dutch. The website gave some funky camera angles and the 3 guys up front ran some sort of 3 man weave and opened up acres of space against the US defense.

Man this burns, have a dutch friend I so wanted to call and chant USA USA . Guess I can still hope England falls apart. Maybe JT can sleep with someone elses wife.

Yes, it's the Neds style (also where I learned to play) and it is fed by Sneijder's brilliance. The team uses a 4-3-2-1 set that generally produces low scoring games (heavy on defense). Their lone forward Kuyt is great at winning 2 on 1 battles. Great wake-up call for team Bradley.

Team USA will need to depend use outside pressure to work the ball into position vs England in their WC match. LD needs to create opporunities with his skills and speed and follow-up in the middle. Michael Bradley can put the ball through when needed. Go, it's a good thing you didn't call your Dutch friend. You can always send your Neds questions to me..

You are write. Bradley coaching for his boy who is center midfielder, he will be fired after world cop. My prediction, UK 4- US 0, Rooney will score and they will outshoot USA by minium triple amount of shots. USA plays too much defense.

If you think about it LD and Rooney are very similar in terms that both are great ball handlers with exceptional skills on both feet. The difference is that Rooney also will work the outside to set the middle where Donovan would rather be the finisher. I agree the Brits may embarrass the US with discipline and shape. My play in the UK developed a strong conviction to formation. Creativity within structure.

You are right about the UK, they want to pound the usa in fussball. However, there is no comparison right now twith Rooney and that LD. Rooney is hot scorer right now in the World, if he don't get hurt he will be at the top of the scoring table = he way more powerful than LD with more grit and experience. LD doing okay, his first year in Everton, he needs to be there next year and no MLS. I expect USA to win one game, draw, and lose to UK...they may still advance, but that would be it.
