Yes, great job Suarez! Maybe the naysayers will zip it for a while. Just need consistency. The mechanics of a system are there. Not so sure Dynamo are in a league of their own. Known as Mob Ball, it's executed with precision. You can't send up a single forward and expect to get through. Two forwards won't be successful alone. The Dynamo plays soccer and if you're not, you're not. Beatable? Absolutely. So far? Not here.

Thanks Finish. We played a pretty good game yesterday, controlled the ball well the first half and had three or four nice shots on goal against the ugly wind and one that was a gimmie but some feet got tangled up. Second half ball was on their side the majority of the time and ended up scoring on a penalty. They had a breakaway with a couple minutes left, made a cross, our defender whiffed on the ball and they should have scored but our goalie got lucky and batted the ball up in the air. Fun game to watch, think it should have been 3 or so to 1, but that's the way it rolled.

Solar has a nice team and I wish all my amigos over there the very best and hope they make D1 because they can run with anyone. But those last 4 spots will likely come down to the last week of the season, doesn't get better than that. And before Plantit jumps all over me, I'm not making D1 the promise land, just commenting on the dog race.

I'm sane too (sort of). I'm just crazy on game day (sometimes). Especially in tight games which we seem to have a lot of this year. I think we'll stay where we are but thanks. I think we're pretty competitive for the most part other than a few lop-sided losses. Ties against Solar and Andromeda who pretty much everyone said we lose to and a good win over Barcelona who absolutely everyone said we would lose to and still not mathematically out of the picture for D1, although I'm not stupid and know our chances are narrowing every day. I know Rhine and Figueroa are the only good qualified coaches who can develop players in what will be D2 next year but we'll stay put. Besides, Blue probably won't be around next year once Suarez cherry-picks your best players.

Think bobby boy has more pull in the club. Don't expect to see much cherry picking from there. Blue will be around and so will Rhine the real question is in what fashion? .

....there were some very interesting results this past weekend! Solar Red and FC Dallas took care of business and have all but punched those D1 tickets. While their match-up next week should still be a drag-down, knockout battle, it has little to no significance as it pertains to D1 qualification.

As for the last 4 spots, this weekend first looked like it (appropriately) muddied the waters a bit, but upon further review it may have actually cleared things up. According to my magic 8-ball, the magic number has been lowered to 29 due to contenders failing to capitalize on points. I can realistically see this number going as low as 27 based on the tight defense being played by those in contention at this point in the season. We'll have to see what happens on the field.

You could say the big winner was Barcelona, taking all 6 points, but anything less against 2 D3-bound teams would have been a serious blunder.With a home-stretch that includes games against Solar, Chivas and Gunners, they may very well need every one those 6 points when all is said and done.

Gunners (4 pts), Chivas (3 pts) and Fort Worth (3 pts) did just enough to stay solidly in the hunt given how the rest of the weekend played out. Taking 3 points next week is crucial for each.

Club Classic, Solar and Atletico Madrid were only able to secure a combined 2 points in 6 games, which really puts each team in a serious bind. The Club Classic vs. Fort Worth and Solar vs. Barcelona match-ups next week are very close to elimination games for each. Madrid has the Comets and Texans South the next 2 weeks, and they need all 6 points (and a lot of help) to have any shot at D1.

Azzurri played the spoiler role well by taking 4 points, but it does not look like they will be able to earn enough points to keep them in contention for D1.

On a side note, it will be interesting to see when the Fort Worth vs. Texans South game is re-scheduled as Spring Break plans could definitely play a factor. Any points for Fort Worth from that one are a boon.
